| Initiated since October 2007, this database aims at developing a comprehensive web-enabled database containing taxonomic and biodiversity information on Algae, Lichens, Pteridophytes, Bryophytes, Gymnosperms and selected flowering plant taxa: Pedicularis, Astragalus and Rutaceae. The taxon coverage has been prioritized on the basis of the taxonomic expertise and primary data available on the above plant groups at NBRI. The database provides primary and secondary data on taxonomy, nomenclature, world and Indian distribution, habit, habitat, conservation/threat status, reproduction, morphological, anatomical, cyto-genetical and other related information on the target taxa. The data base has key word search options based on Family Names and Scientific Names. |
