A botanical archives, perhaps the only one of its kind in the country, was inaugurated by Dr. PV Sane, the then Director of NBRI, on August 16, 1991. It is housed on the ground floor of the library. It contains rare and hand-written manuscripts in Persian and Arabic, illustrations of plants dating back to 18th century, besides a host of other botanical literature of original value. |
