Objectives

 
  • Distribution and diversity studies of fresh water algae and soil algae of different geographical regions from different altitudes of Indian sub-continent such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh states.
  • Isolation, characterization and application of cyanobacteria as biofertilizers in paddy fields and other seasonal crop fields.
  • Algal bio-fertilizer production, effect of these fertilizers on field crops.
  • Mass cultivation of Spirulina.
