3.1 A model for establishment of Fiber Optic / Cat 5 LAN.
NBRI has established a switch based LAN using Fiber Optic/ UTP Cat 5 cable. It may serve as a model for implementation in other CSIR labs.


3.2 Data standards for development of biodiversity databases.

South Asia Legume Database has been developed as per international standards and these standards will serve as internationally compatible parameters for development of databases.


3.3 Databases.
  1. World Legume Database of over 19,000 legumes has been developed in collaboration with UK and is available at NBRI.
  2. CDROM of World Database of Legumes is also available at NBRI.
  3. World Database is also available on Internet (www.ildis.org).
